An experienced and passionate Registered Nurse is invited to seize an exciting opportunity to join a private hospital in Brisbane as a Hospital Nurse Education Coordinator. This full-time, fixed-term position until March 2027, with the possibility of extension, is ideal for a motivated nurse who thrives on developing others, inspiring excellence, and making a lasting impact on patient care.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Working collaboratively with our Education team, Quality, Infection Prevention, and Department Leads, you will play a key role in ensuring that the planning, development, delivery, and evaluation of education at the hospital are well thought out and executed.
As the Hospital Educator, your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and developing the education and training programs that address the strategic direction of the hospital;
- Working in partnership with the stakeholders to deliver identified programs and education as specified in National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards;
- Taking a leadership role in the coordination, delivery and facilitation of education programs delivered across the facility/site and manage hospital orientation program for new employees;
- Leading members of the education team to ensure training/education is delivered to the highest standards.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Certificate in workplace assessment and training desirable or willingness to complete;
- Postgraduate certificate in education desirable;
- Relevant Nursing qualification;
- Ability to deliver teaching programs and objectively evaluate and assess learning outcomes;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Excellent leadership, team building and interpersonal skills;
- Strong change management skills;
- Experience of student and graduate nurse programs.

REMUNERATION
$63.63 - $68.22 per hour.

The hospital, located in central Brisbane, is a 181-bed acute and rehabilitation facility with 17 operating theatres. The hospital provides Acute Medical, Surgical, Rehabilitation, Drug and Alcohol, and Critical Care services. Specialties include neurosurgery, orthopaedics, spinal, plastics, urology, ENT, general surgery, Rehabilitation, and delivery of Brisbane's leading private drug and alcohol programs.
