An excellent opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Registered Midwife looking to be part of a dynamic, close-knit team working across the 38-bed Maternity Unit at a private hospital in Sydney. There are permanent full-time and part-time positions with flexible rostering available.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Midwife, you will care for women post-delivery and prepare them and their families for the first 6 weeks of postpartum by providing education in all aspects of caring for the baby, how to access advice and community support, and breastfeeding assistance, all whilst providing women with the choice and support they need. You will care for women at various stages of their pregnancy, from antenatal admissions to postnatal care.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Recent experience working in a Maternity Ward;
- Knowledge of current legislation and polices relating to Midwifery practice in the workplace;
- Demonstrated exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications are highly regarded, though not essential.

REMUNERATION
A base hourly rate between $38.88 - $54.61 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

The hospital is a 336-bed surgical, medical, and maternity facility located on Sydney's North Shore. It is an acute care facility offering a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, and obstetric services. The newly renovated maternity unit consists of 38 beds and 7 birth suites. With a focus on personalized care, fully equipped with a Maternity Customer Service Officer, a hospital provides the full circle of maternity care - including the emotional well-being program, an antenatal interview with a midwife, and preparation for birth and specialized parenting programs. Post-delivery, one-on-one baby feeding and settling clinics are provided by experienced clinicians.
