A new opportunity has become available for a highly skilled professional in the Acute Medical Unit and Coronary Care Unit at a private hospital in Northern Sydney.
ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering safe, researched-based standards of nursing care;
- Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care;
- Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs;
- Leading successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes;
- Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
- Acting as a role model for Safe Practice.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
As an experienced Nurse, you will bring to the team:
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
- At least 2 years in an Acute hospital setting experience is essential;
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated, and patient-focused;
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
- Passion for delivering quality patient-centered care;
- Flexibility with shift allocations and the commitment to work a rotating roster, 12 hr shifts are offered.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, situated in the scenic Frenchs Forest area, offers top-quality services to both public and private patients. It has a total of 486 beds, a 50-bed Emergency Department, 14 advanced operating theatres including cardiac catheter labs, a world-class education center, a doctor's lounge, and excellent staff amenities such as a café and parking.
The ward has a capacity of 36 beds, with 6 dedicated to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) and 30 high-acuity medical beds focused on cardiac and respiratory care. This fast-paced, dynamic ward offers numerous opportunities for learning and career progression.
REMUNERATION
A salary ranging from $35.46 - $49.79 per hour.
