An exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated and experienced Anaesthetic Registered Nurse to join the Perioperative Team on a permanent part-time basis at a private hospital in Melbourne. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing patients for surgery, preparing anaesthesia equipment, assisting in anaesthesia administration;
- Providing patient care and recovery and monitoring vital signs post-op;
- Providing evidence-based care, ensuring patient and staff safety;
- Liaising with the multidisciplinary team;
- Contributing to efficient theatre operations and positive patient flow outcomes.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Working rights within Australia;
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Anaesthetics and Recovery;
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing clinical demands;
- Confidence to liaise with and support VMOs;
- Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and clinical excellence;
- Excellent communication, teamwork and time management skills;
- Postgraduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing or working towards completion (desirable);
- Knowledge of ACORN standards and guidelines.
