There is an excellent opportunity to join the busy Cardiac Cath Lab as an Anaesthetic Specialist in a permanent part-time role at a private hospital in Sydney. This role offers excellent opportunities to develop advanced perioperative skills in a supportive and progressive environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing safe and effective nursing care during the perioperative phase;
  • Preparing and checking anaesthetic equipment, medications, and monitoring systems prior to procedures;
  • Assisting the Anaesthetist during induction, maintenance, and emergence from anaesthesia;
  • Monitoring patients intraoperatively and in the immediate post-operative phase, ensuring early recognition and management of complications;
  • Delivering comprehensive post-anaesthetic care, including airway management, haemodynamic monitoring, and pain control;
  • Administering medications safely in accordance with hospital policies and best practice guidelines;
  • Ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation;
  • Maintaining a safe environment by adhering to infection control, WHS, and patient safety standards;
  • Participating in effective communication and clinical handover processes;
  • Supporting patient flow within the Cath Lab to ensure efficiency and quality outcomes.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse;
  • Experience in Anaesthetics;
  • Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrated exceptional customer service.

Hospital, located in Sydney's inner west, is an acute care facility and one of Australia's most technologically advanced hospitals, providing excellent safety, comfort and quality of care. The facility encompasses 84 beds, 7 operating theatres, 1 endoscopy suite, 1 cardiac catheterisation lab, a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit, and a Day Surgery Unit.
