New opportunities have arisen for an experienced Anaesthetic Nurse - Theatre and Recovery to join the Perioperative Team on a full-time or part-time basis at a private hospital in Brisbane. 

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
As a Registered Nurse, your duties and responsibilities will involve, but are not limited to;
  • Providing technical and clinical support to the Anaesthetist during induction, maintenance and emergence from anaesthesia;
  • Responding to unexpected outcomes and using problem-solving skills to respond to emergencies in the Perioperative Department;
  • Complying with all legislative requirements in the workplace, including occupational safety and health acts and workers' compensation;
  • Providing a high standard of service delivery and clinical outcomes within budget.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Current AHPRA registration;
  • Minimum 2 years' experience, preferably in a critical care area;
  • The ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a dynamic health care team;
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with commitment to ongoing professional education;
  • The ability to problem solve or seek help from appropriate resources and the aptitude to implement care plans under the direction of a Registered Nurse;
  • Flexibility to work across a seven-day roster is critical for this role.

The hospital, located in the South East of Brisbane, has 120 inpatient Surgical and Medical beds, a rehabilitation gym, 7 operating theatres, 2 procedure rooms, a day oncology unit, and an ICU; the facility provides care to the local community for over 40 years and continually embraces the highest quality of holistic patient care.
