Registered Nurse – Anaesthetics | Melbourne

Exceptional opportunities are now available for experienced Registered Nurses to join the Anaesthetics Unit at a private hospital in Melbourne. This role is ideal for those seeking to apply their theatre expertise within a supportive and high-quality clinical environment.

As an Anaesthetic Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include the following:

• Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
• Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
• Ensuring patient and staff safety;
• Supervising, directing and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to deliver patient care;
• Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end-of-life needs;
• Documenting into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology;
• Proactively assessing the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the patients.

• Current AHPRA registration;
• 2 years of experience as RN Anaesthetics / Recovery or have completed a graduate year in an acute hospital with rotation through Theatre;
• Ability to manage difficult intubation, use of fibre optic equipment, and experience in regional blocks;
• Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
• Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent communication and customer service skills;
• Works well independently and within a team;
• Basic computer skills.

REMUNERATION

$36.14- $48.33 per hour

The hospital, located in Melbourne, is a fully accredited tertiary facility with 295 beds that provides Emergency Services, Intensive Care, and Cardiac Services, including a 24-hour Cardiac Cath Lab and Victoria's only Single-Site Robotic Surgery Program. The hospital has 8 surgical wards with various specialties, including cardiac, general surgery, plastics, colorectal, hepatobiliary, urology, orthopaedics, neurosurgery and vascular surgery.
