ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Anaesthetic Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include the following:
- Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
- Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
- Ensuring patient and staff safety;
- Supervising, directing and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to deliver patient care;
- Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end-of-life needs;
- Documenting into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology;
- Proactively assessing the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the patients.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current AHPRA registration;
- 2 years of experience as RN Anaesthetics / Recovery or have completed a graduate year in an acute hospital with rotation through Theatre;
- Ability to manage difficult intubation, use of fibre optic equipment, and experience in regional blocks;
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
- Works well independently and within a team;
- Basic computer skills.

REMUNERATION
$36.14- $48.33 per hour

The hospital, located in Melbourne, is a fully accredited tertiary facility with 295 beds that provides Emergency Services, Intensive Care, and Cardiac Services, including a 24-hour Cardiac Cath Lab and Victoria's only Single-Site Robotic Surgery Program. The hospital has 8 surgical wards with various specialties, including cardiac, general surgery, plastics, colorectal, hepatobiliary, urology, orthopaedics, neurosurgery and vascular surgery.
