Registered Nurse – Anaesthetics | Melbourne

An exceptional opportunity is now available for an experienced Registered Nurse working in Theatres to join a private hospital in Melbourne, specialising in Anaesthetics. This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis (0.6 FTE or more) and is ideal for a nurse looking to further develop their expertise in anaesthetic care. 

Your responsibilities will include the following:

• Delivering evidence-based nursing care in accordance with best practice standards;
• Supporting patients throughout their surgical journey;
• Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams;
• Maintaining safe clinical environments for patients and staff;
• Supervising and supporting Enrolled Nurses and other team members;
• Providing patient education and clinical support throughout recovery and rehabilitation;
• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and monitoring care outcomes;
• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.

• Current AHPRA registration;
• 2 years of experience as an RN Anaesthetics / Recovery or have completed a graduate year in an acute hospital with rotation through Theatre;
• Ability to manage difficult intubation, use of fibre optic equipment, and experience in regional blocks;
• Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
• Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent communication and customer service skills;
• Works well independently and within a team;
• Basic computer skills.

REMUNERATION

Salaries range between $41.90 and $53.69 + 12.5% Super.

The hospital, located in Melbourne, is a fully accredited tertiary facility with 295 beds that provides Emergency Services, Intensive Care, and Cardiac Services, including a 24-hour Cardiac Cath Lab and Victoria's only Single-Site Robotic Surgery Program. The hospital has 8 surgical wards with various specialties, including cardiac, general surgery, plastics, colorectal, hepatobiliary, urology, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, and vascular surgery.
