ABOUT THE ROLE
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering safe, research-based standards of nursing care;
- Undertake peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislation;
- Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care;
- Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs;
- Proactively assessing the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual / patient;
- Documenting into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely and in a timely manner using accepted abbreviations and terminology.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with APHRA;
- 18 months' minimum experience as an RN - Anaesthetic;
- Working with Children Check;
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
- Ability to work well independently and within a team;
- Basic computer skills.

REMUNERATION
$39.09 - $54.89 per hour.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Southern Sydney, has 168 overnight beds and specialises in cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, spinal surgery, endovascular surgery, interventional neuroradiology, general surgery, general medicine, liver surgery, orthopaedics, maternity and paediatrics. The hospital also has dedicated Day Surgery, a Coronary Care Unit and an Intensive Care Unit.
