An exciting opportunity is available for Registered Nurses with strong interpersonal and customer service skills to join a skilled team in a 17-bed standalone Coronary Care Unit at a leading private hospital in Melbourne. Permanent full-time and part-time schedules are available, caring for patients with acute cardiac conditions and procedures, including TAVI, ablations, and interventional cardiology.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering safe, research-based standards of nursing care;
- Providing complex and multi-disciplinary care;
- Working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs;
- Acting as a role model for Safe Practice;
- Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Authority to Work in Australia;
- Working with Children check (if relevant);
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
- Post Graduate Certificate in Coronary Care or Critical Care, or minimum 2 years' experience in a CCU;
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated, and customer-focused;
- Flexibility to work a roster of Morning and Afternoon shifts as well as Saturdays when required.
REMUNERATION
Salaries range between $36.13 and $48.32.

The hospital, located in Melbourne, is a fully accredited tertiary facility with 295 beds that provides Emergency Services, Intensive Care, and Cardiac Services, including a 24-hour Cardiac Cath Lab and Victoria's only Single-Site Robotic Surgery Program. The hospital has 8 surgical wards with various specialties, including cardiac, general surgery, plastics, colorectal, hepatobiliary, urology, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, and vascular surgery.
