Exciting opportunities are available for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the close-knit Critical Care Team at a private hospital in Melbourne on a permanent part-time basis. If successful, you must be available to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating roster.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role within a supportive team in ensuring high-quality patient care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of excellent standard of evidence-based, person-centred patient care;
- Demonstrating professional practice as evidenced by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements, and Healthscope's polices and processes;
- Supervising, directing and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care;
- Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs;
- Leading successful quality improvement and safety mangement project/s to deliver desired outcomes;
- Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
- Acting as a role model for Safe Practice.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in ICU/CCU or ED;
- Understanding of the Australian National Commission in Quality and Safety Ten National Standards;
- Demonstrate the ability to show initiative and work within a team environment;
- Excellent communication skills.
REMUNERATION
A salary ranges between $36.13 to $48.32 per hour, based on your years of relevant nursing experience.
