An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care Unit at a private hospital in Melbourne. 

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
  • Support the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of the excellent standard of evidence-based, person-centred patient care;
  • Demonstrate professional practise as evidence by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements and hospital policies and processes;
  • Maintaining own professional learning and continuous professional development and providing supervision and teaching to graduates and students;
  • Act as a valued member of the interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care by actively contributing to team processes and practices;
  • Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive a high quality of care across the health care continuum;
  • Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high-quality patient outcomes.

  

REQUIREMENTS

  • Current registration with AHPRA;
  • Previous experience in critical care nursing - minimum 3 years;
  • Post Graduate Certificate in ICU/CCU;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills;
  • Works well independently and within a team;
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
  • Compliance with ACSQHC national standards;
  • Basic computer skills.

Hospital, located in Melbourne's northwestern suburbs, is a fully accredited major surgical, acute medical and emergency hospital. Hospital is equipped for a comprehensive range of surgical procedures, medical treatment and diagnostic services, specialising in orthopaedics, general surgery, general medicine, oncology, cardiology, urology, plastic surgery, ENT and gynaecology.
