An exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated Registered Nurse to join the Day Infusion Centre at a private hospital in Melbourne on a part-time basis, working Monday to Friday.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering safe, research-based standards of nursing care;
- Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members, including Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs), to deliver patient care;
- Delivering education and support to individuals/patients in managing their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs;
- Leading successful quality improvement and safety management projects to achieve desired outcomes;
- Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
- Acting as a role model for safe practice.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Authority to Work in Australia;
- Working with Children Check;
- Bachelor of Nursing;
- Demonstrated experience administering antineoplastic treatments;
- Must have completed Chemotherapy administration competencies;
- 2+ years oncology experience (desirable);
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated, and customer-focused.
REMUNERATION
Salaries range between $35.33 and $47.25 per hour.

The hospital, located in southeastern Melbourne, is a state-of-the-art 147-bed hospital, comprising a 24/7 Emergency Department, 6-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 9-bed specialized Coronary Care Unit (CCU), 12-bay Day Infusion Unit, and 5 specialized inpatient units. - including Oncology, Urology, ENT, Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Interventional Cardiology, and Rehabilitation Services.
