A new opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Registered Nurse to join the team that's recognised for its clinical capability, collaborative culture, and unwavering commitment to patient experience, at a private hospital in Sydney. This is a permanent full-time position working on a Monday to Friday roster. Experience in a day infusion unit is ideal, but there is training available for the right candidate eager to grow in this specialty.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering safe, evidence-based nursing care;
- Performing IV cannulation and managing central venous access devices (CVADs);
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team;
- Educating and supporting patients throughout their treatment;
- Maintaining a strong focus on patient and staff safety.
You'll be supported by a Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and a team of highly skilled and specialised Registered Nurses, who will provide clinical transition support and mentorship to help you thrive in the role.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current AHPRA registration;
- Commitment to quality patient care;
- Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
- Ability to work independently and within a team;
- High level of computer literacy;
- Valid Working with Children Check;
- Experience with management of Central Venous Access Devices (CVADs) (desirable);
- Competency in IV cannulation (desirable);
- Skills and experience in anti-neoplastic medication management (desirable).

The hospital, located in Sydney, is a modern, high-acuity facility with 277 beds, providing an extensive range of surgical and medical services. The Operating Theatre complex has 16 theatres, 32 first-stage recovery bays, and additional 32-second stage chairs. The specialties include General (including laparoscopic), Colorectal, Bariatric, Orthopaedic, Cardiothoracic, ENT, Plastics, Paediatric, Oral & Dental Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Ophthalmic, Gastroenterology, Neurosurgery, Urology, and Vascular surgery.
