What You'll Be Doing

Your Role Will Include:
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients
  • Administer chemotherapy and other cancer treatments safely
  • Monitor patients for treatment side effects and complications
  • Support patients and families through their cancer journey
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including oncologists and specialists
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
  • Ensure compliance with medication administration protocols
  • Provide patient and family education about treatments and care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Essential Requirements:
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Relevant nursing experience, preferably in oncology or medical settings
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate approach to patient and family care
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to maintaining professional standards
  • Current CPR certification
Highly Desirable:
  • Experience in oncology nursing or cancer care
  • Chemotherapy administration certification
  • Postgraduate qualifications in oncology nursing
  • Experience with central line care and management
  • Understanding of cancer treatments and side effect management
