Opportunities have arisen for a highly skilled and experienced PACU and DSU Registered Nurse to join a dynamic Perioperative Team, delivering exceptional post-anaesthesia care to patients recovering from a diverse range of surgical procedures at a private hospital in Regional NSW.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In this fast-paced role, you will utilise your advanced critical thinking and rapid assessment skills to stabilise patients, manage pain, and ensure a seamless transition to post-operative recovery. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in critical care or recovery, a calm demeanour under pressure, and a passion for high-quality, patient-centered care. As a member of the clinical team, you will be planning, evaluating, and delivering care to patients with the support and guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse, and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality service is provided to our patients.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current nursing registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum 2-3 years' recent acute post-operative care or surgical case experience;
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities;
- Flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster;
- Commitment to teamwork, patient safety, and professional growth.

The hospital, located in the Tamworth region, is a Medical & Surgical Hospital with a large Day Surgery Unit adjacent to the 3 operating theatres, a large procedure room, and a High Dependency Unit. The hospital specialises in orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, endoscopy, ophthalmology, gynaecology and rehabilitation.
