A fantastic opportunity has become available for a passionate Scrub Scout Nurse to join a dedicated team at a private hospital in Melbourne's eastern suburbs on a part-time basis.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing and maintaining the operating room for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for use;
  • Assisting the surgical team by scrubbing in, passing instruments, and anticipating the surgeon's needs;
  • Monitoring and managing the sterile field to ensure patient safety and prevent infection;
  • Collaborating with the surgical team to provide optimal care throughout surgical procedures;
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of procedures and patient information;
  • Adhering to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Current Registration with AHPRA;
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as an RN Scrub Scout;
  • Scrub Scout experience in multiple specialties including urology, plastics, general surgery, endoscopy and some minor orthopaedics;
  • Working with Children Check;
  • Commitment to Quality Patient care;
  • Confident to liaise and support VMO's;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
  • Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures;
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing situations;
  • Commitment to maintaining a sterile and safe environment.

REMUNERATION
 A salary ranging from $37.60 - 51.50 per hour.

The Hospital, located 30 km east of Melbourne CBD, is a 75-bed acute Medical, Surgical and Oncology facility providing high-quality care for patients from diagnosis, including all aspects of treatments and end-of-life care. Specialities include general medicine, ENT, Plastics, gastroenterology, gynaecology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthopaedics, urology, vascular, respiratory therapy, and comprehensive oncological service.
