An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled and dedicated Scrub Scout Registered Nurse with Orthopaedics/Urology experience to join a high-performing team at a private hospital in Melbourne.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will provide evidence-based, person-centred perioperative care, while contributing to a safe, collaborative, and high-quality clinical environment. You will also take a leadership role in coordinating care and supporting Enrolled Nurses and junior staff.
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred perioperative care;
- Performing comprehensive assessments and developing care plans;
- Supporting and guiding ENs, technicians, and students;
- Collaborating with Surgeons, Anaesthetists, and multidisciplinary teams;
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and accreditation activities;
- Promoting patient and staff safety in line with the hospital's standards;
- Contributing to efficient theatre operations and patient flow.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Demonstrated experience in perioperative nursing;
- Strong clinical assessment, planning, and evaluation skills;
- Ability to supervise and support ENs, graduates, and students;
- Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and clinical excellence;
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills;
- Postgraduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing (desirable);
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent.
