Excellent opportunities exist for experienced and motivated Scrub/Scout Nurses to join a Perioperative Department at a private hospital on the Mornington Peninsula. There is an availability of permanent full-time and part-time positions with flexible rostering.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be joining our state-of-the-art Operating Suite, a dynamic environment featuring eight dedicated Operating Rooms and an advanced Hybrid Theatre. The suite is supported by a 14-bed recovery room, ensuring seamless patient care. The team delivers a diverse and complex caseload across numerous specialties, including Cardiothoracic, Orthopaedics, Spinal, Neurosurgery, General Surgery, Bariatrics, ENT, Urology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Plastics, Gastroenterology, and Dental.
Your responsibilites will include:
- Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
- Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
- Ensuring patient and staff safety;
- Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
- Acting as a role model for Safe Practice.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum two (2) years' experience within a perioperative setting;
- Experience in the relevant specialties highly regarded;
- Excellent understanding of infection control principles;
- Willing to work in a cohesive and caring team.

REMUNERATION
A base hourly rate ranging from $38.11-$49.96 + superannuation + applicable penalty rates. Based on experience level and qualifications
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located on the Mornington Peninsula, is a comprehensive 344-bed acute emergency, surgical, medical, cardiac and obstetric facility. The hospital currently accommodates a 14-bay emergency department, 226 medical and surgical, 36 cardiac, 11 ICU, 7 Neonatal, 14 Obstetric, and 30 Oncology beds, including 15-day infusion chairs.
