An exciting opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse to join the Interventional Suite at a private hospital in Sydney. The suite includes 14 operating theatres (including hybrid and cardiothoracic theatres), two Cath Labs, four Procedure Rooms, and a 41-bed Recovery Unit, operating seven days a week from 08:00 to 21:30.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Scrub Scout Registered Nurse - Vascular, your responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking perioperative nursing care in accordance with relevant legislations;
- Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
- Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
- Ensuring patient and staff safety;
- Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members, including Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs), to deliver patient care;
- Proactively assessing the perioperative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is being achieved for the individual/patient;
- Completing all required documentation in accordance with local and national policies.
REQUIREMENTS
- Currently registered as a Registered Nurse with the AHPRA;
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
- Post Graduate Certificate in perioperative (or working towards);
- Minimum 2 years' perioperative scrub/scout experience;
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
- Previous experience within a private hospital setting will be well regarded.
- Passion for delivering quality patient-centred care.

REMUNERATION
Salary range between $39.09- $54.89 per hour.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Sydney, provides world-class, Level 5 delineation services for both public and private patients. The hospital features 488 beds, a 50-bed Emergency Department, a 20-bed general cardiothoracic ICU, 14 state-of-the-art theatres including cardiac catheter labs, a world-class education center, a doctor's lounge, excellent staff facilities, a café, and car parking. The Day of Surgery Admissions provides care to patients being admitted for a theatre procedure, whether they are being admitted for a day procedure or for a longer stay. The DOSA is a 40-bed department.
