An excellent opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Registered Midwife looking to be part of a dynamic, close-knit team comprising a mix of experienced and early-career staff at a private hospital in Sydney. There are permanent full-time and part-time positions with flexible rostering available.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Midwife, you will be working in a Special Care Nursery, which is a Level 2 Unit with 13 nursery beds, caring for babies born from 32 weeks. The wider Maternity Ward consists of 7 modern birthing suites and 38 beds for antenatal and postnatal care, creating a dynamic environment that supports mothers, newborns, and families throughout their journey. You will be supported from the beginning through tailored orientation and ongoing education opportunities provided by a dedicated maternity education team.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum one year post-graduate experience within maternity;
- Recent experience in Special Care Nursery;
- Demonstrated exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications are highly regarded, though not essential.

REMUNERATION
A base hourly rate between $37.75 - $53.02 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital is a 312-bed surgical, medical, and maternity facility located on Sydney's North Shore. It is an acute care facility offering a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, and obstetric services. The newly renovated maternity unit consists of 40 beds and 7 birth suites. With a focus on personalized care, fully equipped with a Maternity Customer Service Officer, a hospital provides the full circle of maternity care - including the emotional well-being program, an antenatal interview with a midwife, and preparation for birth and specialized parenting programs. Post-delivery, one-on-one baby feeding and settling clinics are provided by experienced clinicians.
