Registered Nurse – Surgical (Orthopaedic/ENT/Paediatric) | Melbourne

Exciting opportunities are available for passionate Registered Nurses with previous Surgical Nursing experience to join an established Orthopaedic/ENT/Paediatric team at a private hospital in Melbourne. Permanent full-time, part-time and night shift roles are available. 

This role will be housed within a brand new ward on the 3rd floor of the hospital with lovely views and state-of-the-art equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering safe, evidence-based standards of nursing care;
• Providing complex and multi-disciplinary care;
• Working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs;
• Acting as a role model for Safe Practice;
• Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery

• Current AHPRA registration;
• Authority to Work in Australia;
• Working with Children check (if relevant);
• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
• At least 2 years of experience;
• Demonstrated experience in a surgical environment advantageous;
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
• Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
• Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
• Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer-focused;
• In Charge experience will be very highly regarded (opportunity to step up if desired with training and development provided).

REMUNERATION

A salary ranges between $36.13 to $ 48.32 per hour, based on your years of relevant nursing experience.

The Hospital, located in Melbourne, is a fully accredited tertiary facility with over 250 beds, providing Emergency Services, Intensive Care and Cardiac Services, including two twenty-four-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories. The Hospital has 13 theatres, which offer a broad range of specialties, including Cardiac, Neurosurgery, Robotics, Plastics, Orthopaedics, Urology, Laparoscopic, Colorectal, Vascular and General Surgery and 2 dedicated endoscopy units.
