There are exciting opportunities for experienced Registered Nurses to join the Day of Surgery Admissions (DOSA) team at a private hospital in Hobart. Permanent full-time and part-time positions available, working Monday to Friday, typically excluding nights and weekends.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing patient admissions;
- Preparing patients for surgery, monitoring vitals and providing medication;
- Providing patient care and recovery, and monitoring vital signs post-op;
- Providing evidence-based care, ensuring patient and staff safety;
- Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
- Supporting your team members to deliver family-centred care;
- Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their care.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Working with Children check;
- Minimum 2 years of acute experience in a surgical/perioperative setting;
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Proven and sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work well independently and within a team;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
REMUNERATION
$41.04 - $53.91 per hour + Shift Allowances.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Hobart, is a fully accredited facility with 146 beds providing a unique range of acute services, including general surgery, specialty care in orthopaedics, urology, gynaecology, breast, colorectal, oral, vascular, plastics, obesity surgery, and select surgery for paediatrics. The Maternity suites are designed on the contemporary labour/deliver/recover model, fitted with state-of-the-art technology, including K2 fetal monitoring systems, and provide various resources used during childbirth.
