ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include the following:
- Delivering exceptional, safe, research-based standards of nursing care to patients;
- Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams;
- Advocating for best practice and patient safety;
- Supporting patients and families throughout their healthcare journey;
- Providing education to promote recovery and positive health outcomes;
- Mentoring and supporting graduate and undergraduate nurses;
- Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and a positive team culture.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum two years' post-graduate nursing experience;
- Previous acute medical or surgical nursing experience (highly regarded);
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification;
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities;
- A commitment to quality improvement and patient-centred care;
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team;
- Flexibility to participate in a 24/7 rotating roster;

REMUNERATION
Salaries range between $41.90 and $53.69 per hour + 12.5% super.

The hospital, located in Melbourne, is a fully accredited tertiary facility that provides Emergency Services, Extensive Surgical Specialities, a 20-bed ICU/CCU, Medical, and a full range of Cardiac Services, including two 24-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories. A 24/7 Emergency Department that covers a full range of medical and surgical specialty areas, including highly complex surgeries. Backed by the latest technology and expertise, 15 theatres are offered, including a hybrid theatre, diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac cath labs, and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, urology, and more.
