ROLE OVERVIEW
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
- Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
- Ensuring patient and staff safety;
- Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members;
- Collaborating with surgeons, anaesthetists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes;
- Maintaining detailed patient records and documenting all nursing interventions.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years' Registered Nursing experience in a theatre environment is required;
- Minimum 12 months experience in Post Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and facilitating a safe recovery;
- Working with Children check;
- Current AHPRA Registration (no restriction);
- Excellent interpersonal and well-developed communication skills;
- Floor manager experience or willingness to develop in this space would be highly desired.
