ABOUT THE POSITION
As a Scrub Scout, you will play a dual perioperative role, alternating between prepping and passing sterile instruments directly to the surgeon at the operating table and managing the broader theatre environment, safety checks, and unsterile supplies from the periphery. As a member of a clinical team, you will plan, evaluate, and deliver care for patients, supported by the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse, and Shift Leaders, to ensure high-quality service for patients.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current AHPRA registration;
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in the perioperative space;
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities;
- Flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster;
- Commitment to teamwork, patient safety, and professional growth.

REMUNERATION
$40.24 - $56.52 per hour.

The hospital is a modern 142-bed acute medical/surgical facility servicing the Sutherland Shire and surrounding areas. The hospital offers a comprehensive range of services, including Rehabilitation, a level 2 Intensive Care Unit, and Orthopaedics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
