Exciting opportunities are available for skilled, motivated Registered Nurses with at least 2 years of acute surgical experience to join the Surgical Department on a full-time or part-time basis, working on a rotational roster at a private hospital in Melbourne. 

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
  • Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members, including Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs), to deliver high-quality patient care;
  • Delivering education and support to patients to assist with health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs;
  • Leading successful quality improvement and safety management projects to achieve desired outcomes;
  • Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
  • Acting as a role model for safe practice.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Current Registration with AHPRA;
  • Minimum 2 years' Registered Nursing in an acute surgical environment;
  • Working with Children Check;
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
  • Post Graduate Certificate or working towards a relevant speciality (Desirable);
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
  • Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
  • Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Proactive, motivated, and customer-focused. 

REMUNERATION

$35.33 and $47.25 per hour

The hospital, located in southeastern Melbourne, is a state-of-the-art 147-bed hospital, comprising a 24/7 Emergency Department, 6-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 9-bed specialized Coronary Care Unit (CCU), 12-bay Day Infusion Unit, and 5 specialized inpatient units. - including Oncology, Urology, ENT, Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Interventional Cardiology, and Rehabilitation Services.
