There is a new opportunity for a compassionate and patient-focused Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse to join the team at a private hospital in Perth on a part-time basis. This is a maximum-term 12-month parental leave cover position suited to a Registered Nurse with a passion for delivering high-quality, individualised care.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Your role will involve, but is not limited to:
- Applying advanced knowledge and skills relating to prostate cancer to provide client-focused support and education;
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team;
- Providing client-specific information;
- Committing to the maintenance of professional standards;
- Providing resources, information, and expertise to others as required;
- Completing required reports and data collection in a timely manner;
- Working in partnership with the multidisciplinary team and external agencies to promote and support quality care and outcomes for patients diagnosed with prostate cancer.
REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrated relevant advanced level of skill in cancer or urological nursing;
- Demonstrated application of human resource principles at the local level;
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills in a multidisciplinary context;
- Ability to work effectively as a team member;
- Proven leadership qualities;
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Relevant post-graduate qualifications or working towards same;
- Minimum 5 years post-registration experience (desirable);
- A passion for patient teaching;
- Competence in the use of relevant information technology;
- Evidence of participation in and commitment to quality improvement processes and best practice principles.

REMUNERATION
$41.85 - $54.68 per hour.
