ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Utilizing a structured approach, carrying out comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments of patients;
- Implementing planned evidence-based nursing interventions within your scope of practice;
- Demonstrating exceptional clinical skills and procedures, and management of patients seeking outstanding care;
- Supervising, directing, and guiding junior nursing team members;
- Implementing strategies to ensure quality and risk management are integrated into service provision;
- Maintaining and adhering to Infection Control policies and practices;
- Complying with organizational policies, procedures and guidelines.
Additionally, you will be provided with many learning opportunities across a diverse range of nursing skill sets. You will enhance health outcomes by providing safe, quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Recent nursing experience on a medical/surgical or rehab ward;
- Excellent communication and clinical problem-solving skills;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team;
- Demonstrated commitment to continued quality improvement and best practice principles.

REMUNERATION
$37.97 - $50.97 per hour.

The hospital, located in Darwin, is a licensed 122-bed hospital providing a broad range of multiday and day surgery, including, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive, Urology, Gastroenterology and ENT and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory.
