Nurse Unit Manager – Oncology | Perth

• Being accountable for the efficient and effective management of all human and material resources;
• Overseeing the day-to-day running of the ward, skilled in ensuring hospital polices are adhered to, especially recognising and responding to clinical deterioration; 
• Organising staff education, ensuring mandatory competencies are up to date;
• Being a positive mentor and providing clinical leadership and support to your team;
• Working with and supporting other managers within the wider hospital community in achieving excellence in patient outcomes;
• Assisting in shaping organisational strategy, improving procedural service provision and achieving departmental and Hospital strategic objectives.

• Current registration with AHPRA;
• Competent in supervising, leading, directing and motivating staff to achieve excellent outcomes; 
• Minimum 5 years postgraduate experience in an acute care environment;
• Demonstrated extensive clinical skills and experience within Haematology Oncology nursing and skilled in chemotherapy administration;
• Effective management of rostering processes and allocation of duties of both clinical and non-clinical staff; 
• Post-graduate studies in an appropriate specialty or management qualifications will be highly regarded.
