About the Role
As Hospital Coordinator – Day Manager, you'll lead the effective management of hospital services and deliver exceptional best practice nursing care during weekday operations. This senior leadership role coordinates patient flow from admission to discharge, manages staffing across all departments, and ensures excellent clinical outcomes and an industry-leading patient experience.

As the senior nurse in charge of weekday operations, you'll work within a 24/7 hospital coordinator function, managing the day shift before handing over to the after-hours team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards across all wards
  • Collaborate with Nurse Unit Managers across wards and departments to ensure appropriate staffing levels
  • Manage patient flow, coordinate and plan operational processes within budget parameters
  • Demonstrate and lead staff in delivering operational efficiencies
  • Coordinate patient admissions and bed management
  • Support the hospital's commitment to quality improvement and achievement of National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards
  • Contribute to hospital performance across patient safety and quality, people and safety, financial management, and operations
Essential Requirements
  • Current AHPRA Registered Nurse registration
  • Recent management experience at Senior Nurse, Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), or Hospital Coordinator level
  • Proven experience in staff coordination and resource allocation
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate resources effectively
  • High-level computer literacy including MS Office proficiency
  • Strong people leadership skills including mentorship and coaching capabilities
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
Desirable Qualifications
  • Completion of or working towards postgraduate qualification in management
Remuneration & Benefits
  • Competitive salary: $132,036.32 + superannuation + allowances
  • Hourly rate: $66.82 - $70.67 based on relevant registered nursing experience
