About the Role
As Associate Nurse Unit Manager for the Medical Ward, you'll provide clinical leadership and play a key role within a collaborative team to ensure patients receive exceptional care throughout their hospital experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership to the Medical Ward, ensuring alignment with strategic direction and operational excellence
  • Deliver clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management
  • Coordinate evidence-based nursing care delivery across the ward
  • Manage the effective daily operation of human, financial, and material resources
  • Ensure compliance with ACSQHC National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards
  • Lead and mentor nursing staff to maintain high standards of patient care
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge in labour management and workforce coordination
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and best practice implementation

Essential Requirements

  • Current AHPRA Registered Nurse registration
  • Valid Working with Children check
  • Previous experience at Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) level or equivalent
  • Demonstrated compliance with ACSQHC National Standards
  • Strong commitment to developing management capabilities
  • Computer literacy including MS Office and various databases
  • Proven ability to work cohesively within a team environment
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • Sound knowledge base in labour management
  • Demonstrated HR management experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
