A new key leadership and management role awaits a candidate with senior nursing management experience to take on the role of Deputy Director of Clinical Services at a private hospital in Perth. 

ROLE OVERVIEW 
The Deputy Director of Clinical Services provides clinical leadership, clinical workforce management and operational leadership as part of the Hospital Management team to support the Director of Clinical Services and to assist the Hospital to meet its operational business and workforce objectives. The Deputy Director of Clinical Services is primarily responsible for the Emergency Department and Critical Care Services.  The successful applicant will have extensive clinical and managerial experience in the Emergency Department/Critical Care with at least 5 years in senior nursing management positions in the acute hospital setting.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  • Relevant registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia;
  • Post-graduate qualifications in Management/Leadership;
  • At least 5 years in senior nursing management positions in the acute hospital setting;
  • Proven ability to successfully lead and motivate a clinical services team;
  • Proven strategic planning, workforce analysis and policy development skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead Accreditation and Continuous Improvement processes in a Health Care facility and achieve sound outcomes;
  • Knowledge and understanding of contemporary clinical risk management;
  • Strategies that are effective in promoting and ensuring high-quality patient care;
  • Aware of the relevant legislative requirements and governing bodies;
  • Reporting responsibilities of hospital/ clinical services departments;
  • Sound computer skills using the MS Office Suite and web-based;
  • Demonstrated sound financial management & administrative skills in a hospital setting.

ABOUT THE FACILITY

Caring for both public and private patients, the hospital is the major healthcare provider for Perth's northern corridor, with 775 beds and bays. It delivers comprehensive care for the whole family, from maternity, neonatal and paediatric services through to aged care and rehabilitation, and is the statewide referral centre for bariatric and peritonectomy surgeries. Key facilities include 12 operating theatres, Intensive Care and Coronary Care Units, a Level 2b Neonatal Unit, a purpose-built Mental Health Unit, 24-hour medical imaging, and an After Hours GP Clinic.
