Exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Registered Theatre Nurse to join the busy Perioperative Team as a Floor Coordinator at a private hospital in Brisbane. This role is ideal for Theatre RNs with some floor coordination experience and a keen interest in developing their skills further. Permanent part-time position is available - 60 hours per fortnight.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting theatre teams, VMOs and CSSD in coordinating staffing, movement in the theatres and daily operational activities;
  • Ensuring clinical outcomes across 3 Operating Theatres (soon to be 4), two procedure rooms and a new CSSD department;
  • Applying clinical knowledge as a qualified Registered Nurse with theatre floor coordination experience;
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of ACORN standards and safe, efficient shift leadership;
  • Responding to daily operational changes with a calm and supportive disposition.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Current registration with AHPRA;
  • Being a Level 2 registered nurse, previous experience as a Clinical Nurse is highly desirable;
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications (desirable);
  • Experience in coordinating busy theatres;
  • Commitment to Safe Values;
  • Excellent time management;
  • Being comfortable with competing priorities and flexible to change;
  • Being a supportive and engaging people leader with great communication skills.

ABOUT THE FACILITY 

The hospital, located in Brisbane, is a 70-bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 3 operating theatres. Specialties include orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, internal medicine and the delivery of leading rehabilitation services and programs on the Brisbane northside.
