A rare opportunity exists for motivated Registered Nurses to join a dynamic Cath Lab team at a private hospital in Darwin. This role offers a supportive and collaborative environment within a premier cardiac catheter facility, providing a variety of specialist services including left and right heart procedures, angioplasty, implanted cardiac devices, cardiac electrophysiology, TOE cardioversions, and vascular interventions.
ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering a safe, evidence-based standard of nursing care;
- Actively participating in quality improvement, safety, and risk management initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes;
- Working collaboratively with the Cath Lab and wider healthcare teams to support patient care needs;
- Role-modelling safe practices for the provision of care within the Cath Lab setting;
- Mentoring Graduate Nurses and students undertaking clinical rotations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Bachelor of Nursing Science or equivalent qualification;
- Flexibility to work across a range of shifts, including on-call requirements;
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and the delivery of high-quality patient care;
- Proven ability to work effectively within a high-functioning team environment;
- Demonstrated desire, energy, motivation, and initiative to work in a busy, high-acuity unit;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills;
- Sound computer literacy skills;
- Postgraduate qualifications in cardiac care, or working towards, desirable but not essential.
REMUNERATION
$40.48 - $54.60 per hour plus allowances.

The hospital, located in Darwin, is a licensed 122-bed hospital providing a broad range of multiday and day surgery, including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Urology, Gastroenterology and ENT and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory.
