Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab | Newcastle

• Collaborating with the Cath Lab team in cardiac procedures in the perioperative environment (scrubbing, scouting, recovery roles);
• Developed interpersonal skills, self-motivated and customer-focused to work as part of a high-functioning team;
• Enjoying continuous learning and education in caring for cardiac patients;
• Time management and the ability to prioritise effectively to manage competing workloads within a complex environment;
• Delivering safe, research-based standards of nursing care;

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Current registration with AHPRA;
• Minimum 1 year Cath Lab experience desirable or Cardiac Acute Care or Critical Care experience preferred, however, there is a Transition to Cath Lab Nursing structured program for those with no experience with supportive preceptors and CNS's for the right candidate;
• Working with Children Check;
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and have a positive work ethic as part of a harmonious team member;
• Knowledge of and ability to practice within the National Standards;
• Commitment to providing great customer service in our fast-paced environment;
• Perioperative experience (anaesthetics/recovery)is  desirable but not essential;
• Flexibility to work across a range of shifts and on call.
