An exciting opportunity is available for a highly experienced Registered Nurse to step into a leadership role of an Operating Floor Coordinator at a private hospital in Melbourne on a permanent full-time basis.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Theatre Floor Coordinator is responsible for the supervision and coordination of the Operating Suite, maintaining a cohesive work and communication network with Perioperative staff and the wider clinical team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Complementing and supporting management within the multidisciplinary department;
- Being responsible for staffing allocations, replacements, and roster preparation;
- Taking on operational responsibilities in the absence of the Nurse Unit Manager;
- Promoting excellence in clinical practice and ensuring safe patient care;
- Providing leadership and support to the nursing and support services in the Operating Theatres.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Post Graduate Qualification in Perioperative Nursing;
- Recent experience as a Floor Coordinator desirable;
- Sound clinical knowledge, demonstrated leadership, and decision-making skills;
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills;
- Knowledge of National Standards and the Accreditation process;
- A high performer who is patient-focused, motivated, and thrives working in a team.
