A remarkable opportunity is on the horizon to take on a key leadership role of an After Hours Manager at a private hospital located in Melbourne. This is a position with both permanent full-time and part-time schedules available.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In this key leadership position, you will be accountable for efficient and effective operational management of the team to ensure safe patient care and outstanding quality patient outcomes, after normal business hours. This role supports all hospital departments, ensuring patients, families, and VMOs receive a high level of care and service.
As an After-Hours Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Assuming overall responsibility for the hospital after hours, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care;
- Acting as an effective role model across the hospital in the absence of managers;
- Demonstrating extensive clinical skills and experience, together with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
- Leading and managing staff, resources, and clinical services efficiently;
- Planning, implementing, and evaluating processes to maintain excellence in service delivery.
REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant qualifications and registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse;
- Tertiary qualifications in Nursing and extensive clinical skills and experience;
- Highly desirable - Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification, and critical care experience;
- Ability to problem solve, coordinate, and de-escalate situations that arise;
- Extensive customer service skills;
- Ability to act as an effective role model in the area of clinical practice;
- Ability to lead and motivate others;
- Sound Computer skills in MS Office programs (Word, Excel & Outlook).

ABOUT THE FACILITY
Located 18km north of Melbourne's CBD, this 70-bed private hospital provides a comprehensive range of acute medical and surgical services to the growing community. The facility includes four operating theatres, a cardiac catheterisation laboratory, a sleep study unit, and a day chemotherapy unit, along with on-site pharmacy, pathology, and medical imaging services.
