An exciting full-time leadership opportunity has opened for a suitable candidate with extensive experience to lead the Theatres Department Team across 8 state-of-the-art operating theatres and a diverse surgical portfolio across orthopaedics, neurosurgery, paediatrics, gynae, urology, general surgery and ophthalmology at a private hospital located in Orange.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the NUM, you will be taking on a key leadership role within the unit, supported by a cohesive and dedicated team of Theatre Floor Managers, Registered and Enrolled Nurses, and Support and Administrative staff. This is a perfect role for an experienced or emerging leader who is passionate about inspiring, supporting and mentoring a dedicated nursing team while helping to deliver exceptional care across surgical services.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum of five years' experience in an acute hospital environment essential;
- Have a strong commitment to patient safety, customer and partner services;
- Have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with the Doctors and Staff;
- Demonstrated recent experience and knowledge within theatre, anesthetics and recovery nursing;
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership or management role;
- Proven ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human and material resources;
- Ability to apply research findings to clinical practice;
- Post Graduate Qualifications in Perioperative Nursing and or Health/Business and/or Management (desirable).

REMUNERATION
$76.26 per hour.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Orange, is a 62-bed facility that provides a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, rehabilitation, and psychiatric services. The hospital has 5 Operating Theatres. Apart from general medical and surgical beds, there are 17 licensed rehabilitation beds and a 13-bed mental health unit.
