A new leadership opportunity is on the horizon for an After Hours Manager to thrive in a fast-paced environment at a private hospital located in Melbourne. This is a permanent part-time position.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In this key leadership position, you will be accountable for efficient and effective operational management of the team to ensure safe patient care and outstanding quality patient outcomes after normal business hours.
As an After-Hours Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Assuming overall responsibility for the hospital after hours, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care;
- Overseeing patient flow, bed management, and clinical services during quieter hours, making a real difference in patient outcomes and staff support;
- Demonstrating extensive clinical skills and experience, together with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
- Leading and managing staff, resources, and clinical services efficiently;
- Planning, implementing, and evaluating processes to maintain excellence in service delivery.
REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant qualifications and registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse;
- Minimum 3 years' postgraduate experience working in an acute setting;
- Emergency Management is essential;
- Proficient in ALS is essential;
- Demonstrated ability to be an effective role model in the area of clinical practice;
- Workforce planning and patient flow experience essential.

REMUNERATION
A base hourly rate of $61.96 - $68.15 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties and allowances.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
Located 18km north of Melbourne's CBD, this 70-bed private hospital provides a comprehensive range of acute medical and surgical services to the growing community. The facility includes four operating theatres, a cardiac catheterisation laboratory, a sleep study unit, and a day chemotherapy unit, along with on-site pharmacy, pathology, and medical imaging services.
