The Perioperative Leadership Team is seeking an experienced and engaging CSSD Supervisor focused on providing a safe, patient-centric CSSD service to Theatre teams, VMOs, and loan set providers at a private hospital in Brisbane. This is a full-time role working from Monday to Friday.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the CSSD Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing a high standard of evidence-based Sterilisation services to the operating theatre and other clinical departments within the hospital;
- Being responsible for leading the CSSD team to ensure efficient and effective flow of the CSSD while ensuring site compliance with all sterilization standards;
- Adhering to Australian College of Operating Room Nurses (ACORN) standards and planning, assessing, implementing and evaluating the cleaning, sterilisation, and packing of hospital instruments;
- Providing clinical leadership - providing direction, support, supervision, teaching and specific clinical specialty direction for CSSD Technicians.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Relevant qualifications (minimum Cert IV sterile servicing);
- Detailed understanding of ACHS/AS/NZS 5369;

ABOUT THE FACILITY
Located in Brisbane, the hospital is a 65-bed acute and rehabilitation facility comprising six operating theatres, with a new High Dependency Unit scheduled to open. The hospital provides a comprehensive range of specialist services, including orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology and internal medicine, alongside leading rehabilitation services and innovative patient-centred programs.
