Registered Midwife | Newcastle

Excellent opportunities exist for experienced and passionate Registered Midwives to join the team at a private hospital in Newcastle. You can work in a variety of areas, including the Antenatal and Postnatal Wards, and within both the Birthing Suite and the recently renovated Special Care Nursery. There are permanent full-time and part-time roles available.
 
ABOUT THE ROLE
Working alongside highly skilled midwives, consultant obstetricians, paediatricians, educators and lactation consultants, you'll be part of a supportive and close-knit team providing exceptional care to women and families. There are several specialty areas within the service, providing a dynamic and engaging experience to the right applicant. You will need to bring a genuine interest in caring for women and their families through the various stages of pregnancy, childbirth and postnatal care. You will be an experienced midwife with excellent communication skills and enjoy working in an inclusive and vibrant environment that values and supports diverse families.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife;
• Current NSW Working with Children Check;
• Demonstrated recent experience working in a similar role.

REMUNERATION
$40 - $56 per hour.
 
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Newcastle, is a 189-bed, acute, private facility with 11 theatres, including a hybrid theatre and a 15-bed Intensive Care Unit. The Maternity Unit comprises a Birthing Suite, Maternity Ward, and Special Care Nursery. Birthing Suite has 6 rooms on the ground floor, with Croudace Operating Theatres adjacent. The Maternity Ward encompasses 38 beds combined with antenatal and postnatal rooms.
