Associate Nurse Unit Manager – ICU | Melbourne

As an ANUM in ICU, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and wider leadership team to support the day-to-day operations of the unit. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging nurse leader or experienced clinician looking to further develop their leadership and management capabilities within a dynamic, high-acuity environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the daily clinical and operational management of the ICU;
• Coordinating evidence-based nursing care and maintaining high standards of patient outcomes;
• Providing leadership, mentorship and support to nursing staff;
• Fostering a positive team culture focused on continuous learning and professional development;
• Building strong relationships with VMOs and multidisciplinary teams;
• Driving quality improvement initiatives and clinical audit activities;
• Contributing to workforce planning and effective resource management;
• Providing direct patient care and clinical leadership when required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current registration with AHPRA;
• Current Working with Children Check (where applicable);
• Recent ICU nursing experience;
• Previous ANUM, Acting ANUM or Clinical Nurse Specialist experience (highly regarded);
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills;
• Minimum three years' post-registration clinical experience;
• Knowledge of ACQSHC National Standards;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Strong organisational, prioritisation and time management abilities;

REMUNERATION

Salaries range between $60.14 and $62.17 per hour + 12.5% Super.
