As an ANUM in our Perioperative Unit, you will work collaboratively with the Perioperative Services Manager to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the ward. You will play a crucial role in clinical leadership, staff development, and maintaining exceptional standards of patient care.
 
Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing team on the Nursing - Theatre, Anaesthetic and Recovery Unit;
• Assisting the  Perioperative Services Manager with daily ward operations, resource management, and rostering;
• Participating in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans for medical and cardiac patients;
• Mentoring and supporting nursing staff, including new graduates and junior team members;
• Ensuring compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and relevant clinical standards;
• Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and risk management strategies within the unit;
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive patient care and discharge planning;
• Managing patient admissions, transfers, and discharges effectively.

• Relevant current registration with AHPRA;
• Experience in Perioperative nursing;
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in a senior nursing role;

REMUNERATION
$59.16 - $61.11 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

The hospital, located in beautiful Goulburn Valley, is a 69-bed acute surgical and medical facility. The hospital has 3 fully equipped Operating Theatres, a High Dependency Unit, and a Day Procedure Unit. The hospital is equipped with advanced medical, surgical, and diagnostic technology.
