Clinical Nurse – Surgical | Rockhampton

In addition to clinical responsibilities, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of a clinical portfolio and participation in the after-hours hospital supervision roster.  The role requires working with and supporting other managers in achieving excellence in care delivery whilst ensuring maintenance of clinical standards and quality care.  You will have a minimum of four years working in an acute care setting and will take responsibility for guiding and directing others' actions to achieve goals. You will maintain effective interpersonal relationships to work with others in a constructive and collaborative fashion and positively influence others by explaining information and ideas to solicit and engage staff in what needs to be done.

• Current registration with the AHPRA;
• Minimum 5 years' experience referable in similar field;
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge and relevant clinical skills;
• Ability to use initiative, self-motivation, work as a team member with minimal supervision;
• Demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).

REMUNERATION
On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $54.72 - $58.82 + superannuation, based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. 
 

The hospital, located in Rockhampton, is a 66-bed medical, surgical, and mental health facility offering a holistic approach to health care. The specialisations of the facility include orthopaedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, IVF, general medicine and mental health. The Mental Health Unit provides services for patients requiring treatment for Mental Health disorders, including Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Schizophrenia and Psychotic disorders. It also provides day programs, including Anxiety Treatment, Recovery and Relapse Prevention and Mood Disorders.
