ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, the Nurse Unit Manager will lead the establishment and ongoing management of a General Medical & Surgical ward, encompassing General Surgery, Urology and Plastics. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Registered Nurse to build a high-performing team, foster a positive workplace culture and deliver safe, consistent and patient-centred care. Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing clinical, operational and professional leadership across the General Medical & Surgical Ward;
- Ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centred care and optimal clinical outcomes;
- Planning, implementing and evaluating clinical practices, processes and services.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Experience in the acute medical and surgical setting is highly desirable;
- Leadership or management experience is desirable;
- Excellent clinical assessment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills;
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational abilities;
- A commitment to patient-centred care and continuous quality improvement;
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and manage challenging situations;
- Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic clinical environment;
- Commitment to teamwork, patient safety, and professional growth.

REMUNERATION
$68.76 - $70.82 per hour.
