Floor Coordinator – Operating Theatre | Sydney

An exciting leadership opportunity is available for a dynamic and experienced Operating Theatre Floor Coordinator to join the leadership team on a permanent, part-time basis at a private hospital in Sydney. This key role is suited to an experienced perioperative professional passionate about clinical leadership, patient-centred care, and driving high standards across surgical services.

In this pivotal role, you will support and guide our clinical staff to deliver exceptional patient care aligned with best practice standards and legislative requirements.

Reporting directly to the Perioperative Leadership Team, you will be responsible for:

• Facilitating the smooth and efficient running of operating theatre sessions;
• Coordinating the continuum of care related to surgical and anaesthetic interventions;
• Ensuring optimal surgical outcomes through effective team collaboration and resource management;
• Promoting a culture of excellence, safety and continuous improvement within the perioperative environment;
• Working with and supporting other managers within the wider hospital community in achieving excellence in patient outcomes;
• Providing positive mentorship and clinical leadership and support to the team;
• Providing clinical support and care to patients within the operating theatres;
• Being accountable for the efficient and effective management of all human and material resources.

REQUIREMENTS 

• Current AHPRA registration;
• Minimum 3 years post-graduate experience in a perioperative setting;
• Post-graduate studies in an appropriate specialty or management qualifications will be highly regarded;
• Commitment to improvement and excellence in the delivery of outcomes;
• WHS responsibility and leadership in risk minimisation;
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage resources;
• Experience in Workplan and Staffing allocations is highly desirable.
