An exciting full-time opportunity exists for a senior Registered Nurse to provide clinical leadership across the HDU and Medical/Cardiology Ward within a private hospital in Western Sydney. In this role, you will work collaboratively with consultants to support the strategic direction, enhance operational processes, and drive high-quality patient care outcomes.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence-based. With the assistance and direction of the Cardiac Services Manager, you will be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement;
- Maintaining professional and constructive working relationships with VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high-quality patient outcomes;
- Providing clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence-based;
- Being accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources;
- Coordinating and driving clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives;
- Undertaking direct patient care, as required.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current AHPRA registration;
- Working with Children check (if relevant) ;
- Current or previous ANUM or clinical nurse specialist experience (desirable);
- Post Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing or working towards (desirable);
- Sound clinical knowledge;
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills;
- Positive role modelling behaviours;
- Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation;
- Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment;
- High degree of computer literacy, including MS Office and various databases.

REMUNERATION
$68.87 per hour
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Western Sydney, is a modern 109-bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community, including orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography, obstetrics. The hospital has eight operating Theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheterisation theatre, and an endoscopy suite, supported by a critical care unit that includes intensive care.
