A pivotal leadership opportunity is now available for a highly experienced ENT Scrub/Scout Nurse seeking to step into a leadership role. This position is within the Operating Theatres department at a private hospital in Melbourne and is offered as a permanent, full-time role.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager, you will contribute to the day-to-day operational management of the Unit, including rostering, driving staff development, and providing hands-on clinical support to staff. You will be a passionate mentor to your team and have the capacity to inspire them to succeed. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your leadership capabilities and grow your career within a collaborative Theatre environment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in an acute healthcare setting, with 3 years in an ENT Scrub/Scout role;
- Post-graduate certificate desirable though not essential;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required;
- Availability to work across a rotating, 7-day roster.

REMUNERATION
A base hourly rate ranging from $55.92 - $57.76 + superannuation + applicable penalty rates. Based on experience level and qualifications.

The hospital, located in Melbourne, is an acute 72-bed Surgical and Medical facility in Hampton's bayside suburb. The facility has 3 Operating Theatres, 2 Procedure Rooms, a Day Surgery unit, and a 4-bed High Dependency unit. It also offers on-site Radiology and Pathology services, Physiotherapy services, and busy specialist consulting suites. A comprehensive range of services is provided, including Breast Surgery, ENT, Gastrointestinal Surgery, General Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Urology, and Vascular Surgery.
