Assistant Nurse Unit Manager – Plastics | Melbourne

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing team;
• Assisting the Nurse Unit Manager with daily ward operations, resource management and rostering;
• Participating in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised patient care plans;
• Mentoring, supporting and developing nursing staff, including new graduates and junior team members;
• Ensuring compliance with hospital policies, procedures and relevant clinical standards;
• Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and risk management strategies within the unit;
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive patient care and effective discharge planning;
• Managing patient admissions, transfers and discharges in a safe and efficient manner.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current registration with AHPRA;
• Extensive clinical experience in Plastics reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery;
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in a senior nursing role;
• A commitment to patient-centred care and continuous professional development;
• The ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities;
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
